Role Overview

Shape how humans and agents collaborate

We are seeking a strategic and visionary Design Lead to spearhead the design of our agentic AI systems. This role will be responsible for creating intuitive, powerful interfaces that enable seamless human-AI collaboration. You'll define design patterns, lead user research, and establish design systems that scale across our HumBot platform. We are developing our design capabilities with the same urgency and ambition that define the rest of HumBot. You'll need to be decisive, prioritizing user needs over complexity, and operate quickly. You'll need to simplify—translating complex AI capabilities into clear, intuitive experiences that users love. And most importantly, you'll need to embody our value of continuous improvement, bringing a bias for iteration and a high bar for design excellence to everything we do.

What You'll Do

Lead design across the agentic stack

Design Leadership

Define and execute design strategy for agentic AI systems and human-AI collaboration interfaces.
Lead user research and usability testing to inform design decisions in the rapidly-evolving AI landscape.
Create compelling design visions and interaction patterns that showcase the potential of human-AI teamwork.
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure user-centered product development.
Build and scale a high-performing design team, including design systems, processes, and design operations.
Drive a continuous feedback loop, integrating insights from users and stakeholders to improve design approaches.

Agentic System Design

Design intuitive interfaces for complex AI agent interactions and multi-agent orchestration.
Create design patterns for AI transparency, explainability, and user control in agentic systems.
Develop user flows for human-in-the-loop workflows and AI delegation patterns.
Design feedback mechanisms and learning interfaces that improve AI agent performance over time.
Establish design principles for trustworthy AI interactions and ethical AI design.
Create prototypes and design specifications for novel AI interaction paradigms.

Team Leadership & Operations

Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing design team across UX, UI, and design research disciplines.
Establish scalable design processes, design systems, and quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership.
Manage design resource allocation and project planning to maximize impact.
Drive design tool optimization and workflow efficiency across the design organization.

What You Have

The background we're looking for

Experience & Background

5+ years in design leadership roles where you have owned both strategy and execution across complex product experiences.
Experience building and scaling design teams in high-growth technology environments.
Strong background in user research, interaction design, and design systems.
Experience designing for AI/ML products, ideally with agentic systems, conversational interfaces, or human-AI collaboration.
Experience with design tools, prototyping platforms, and design system management.

Skills & Competencies

Strategic thinking with ability to translate business objectives into compelling design visions.
User-centered design mindset with strong research and validation skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence at all organizational levels.
